Most people ignore the common warning signs of car wear and tear and with the winter driving season around the corner, GM Certified Service wanted to make sure people were thinking of them when it came to prepare their cars for winter.
The challenge was how do you get people to care about their car’s heath?
Thankfully, it’s not just winter tire season, it’s also cold and flu season. To help people think a little differently about car maintenance, we connected it to something that was a little more relatable than their car health- their own health.
We created a campaign that borrows the language from healthcare and applied it to car maintenance. In a series of videos, we have drivers finding their cars making human cold and flu sounds, and for point of sale and banner ads, we packaged some tires in a familiar blister pack, typically reserved for cold medication.
