“Hi, I’m AMI. Your Chevrolet Automotive Messenger Interface.”
“AMI" is Canada’s first automotive messenger bot and provides a more intuitive and conversational way to schedule service appointments and learn more about your vehicle.
Based on the growing trend towards AI, we wanted to refresh the online booking and owner experience by making it more intuitive and user friendly. We wanted to Increase service bookings and conversions from social traffic as well as provide value with an emerging technology.
It also serves an educational purpose through seasonally relevant tips and quizzes, and by leveraging the push-notification capability, it can offer weather triggered tips and offers to drive sales.
Future incarnations of the bot will include how-to content, vehicle diagnostic walk-around and sales to service hand-off assistance. To top it off, we will include integration of vehicle and owner data that will make it feel like you are talking to your car right in messenger.
This came about through an opportunity to participate in a hackathon at the Facebook NYC office along with a handful of other agencies from around the world.
